I completed the race in the rain. It rained from the start of the race until the end. And wouldn't you know, that just when I finished the race and was leaving to go to my car....the sun came out. I kid you not. But that was fine with me because all I wanted to do was go home and rest.
I completed the race in 1:07:55. This is 7 minutes MORE than I anticipated, but next year will be much better. I plan to continue running and make it a part of my weekly exercise routine. I am thinking I will run once or twice a week. That is more than sufficient considering I am actively involved in my kickboxing classes.
Well, completing this race was the first goal I accomplished from my list of 101 goals in 1001 days. If I am not mistaken, I believe that was goal number 9.

Good for you. Actually, running any sort of marathon is a goal I have set for myself in 2009. I am working at it now. I am only up to running a mile now, lol, but we all have to start somewhere.
