Almost there....

I have 4 weeks until I have my baby girl!! Lawd, it can't come fast enough!!!

I am sipping on a Pepsi. I dont even drink sodas!! But this past month, I have been putting down Pepsi's like it aint nobody's business. I know I shouldn't drink these being preggers and all. Luckily, I only get the urge whenever someone brings a Pepsi into the house.

Looking at Harlem Heights on BET. So far, it doesn't seem as bad as the other garbage they produce.

A change is coming...

whether I Want it to or not. Monday was my last day on the job. I have known for a while the company was in trouble, and therefore have been preparing myself for this moment. However, I did not expect to receive a call from my manger informing me our company was no longer needed by the vendor.

My only concern was health insurance, as I am currently 8 months preggers. Well, HR called and informed me I will be covered until the end of MArch which is great, considering my little one is due April 1. I think she will arrive a week early. From there I will purchase COBRA coverage for a few months to cover my prenatal care.

I have to put into writing, a working list of things I need to do obtain a job after I give birth.

Of course, ONCE AGAIN, this mean my house hunt has been put on hold. This really bummed me out because I wanted to bring my child home to a place of our own.

I am REALLY trying to figure out what God is trying to tell me throughout all of this. I have no concerns over providing for my child. I KNOW I will be just fine in that dept. I am more concerned with constantly beginning the home search process, only to have set backs. Oh well. Somthing great will come of this. I simply have to be patient, listen, and be proactive!!!

We found a house....

But unfortunately someone put a higher priced contract on it. We are not willing to go over our budget. It was a really nice house!!! I could sooo picture us in that house and having my child spend her first 5 years there. Subconsciously I am hoping the other party somehow lose out on this house so we can get it. I know that's a bad thing to put out there, but I really want this house!!! Well maybe this just wasnt the one for us. **SIGH** We shall see. We shall see.....

The begining starts now...

I just found out my ace in the hole co-worker is leaving. Actually, I've known for at least one month because afterall, I was one of his references. However, having him come into the office on his day off to turn in his noticed really struck a cord with me. I have a lot of planning and work to do. I really have to leave this place once I have my child. I am working on that right now!!!

Here's my action plan:

• Update my resume
• Dust off interviewing and negotiating books
• Begin sending out resumes once I go out on maternity leave
• Ask former co-workers and others I know if they know of any possible openings
• NETWORK! NETWORK!! NETWORK!!
• Read more of my LOA books to become centered and manifest this new job!!!!

I can not remain in this lab too much longer after my child is born. The hours are not conducive with the way I plan to raise my family. The manangement here SUCKS MONKEY BALLS!!!! There are several other factors, but those are the most important thus far. I will start working on my resume within the next week!!!

7 months preggo...

Today I am officially 7 months preggo!!

Yesterday, for the first time, I was told by someone who work in my building that I am huge. She emphasized huge and kept tlooking at my belly. Actually it went down like this:

Me: Hey!! How are you? Happy New Year!!
Her: Hey! Oooooh you getting big!! How far along are you?
Me: 7 Months!!
Her: And you still have 2 months to go?!?!?!? You are really gonna get big.
Me: Well, we shall see (I then proceeded to go into the bathromm stall. All the while I was thinking 'BITCH!!!')

Besides, my family and man have both said I have not gained a lot of weight except in my belly and boobies. And I happen to agree!!!!

Oh well, I never expected to remain a size 6 during my pregnancy (or did I?)
